As an Accounting Manager for Resource Industries Sales, Services & Technology (RISST), you will be responsible for managing the financial record keeping, reporting, tax filing and other accounting functions for the Cat Solutions and Services organization.

Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing the financial accounting and reporting requirements of the organization, including supervision of monthly closing tasks, journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Presenting insightful analysis and commentary on the relevant financial data and metrics to a variety of business stakeholders across the company.

• Collaborating with commercial teams on in-depth customer deal reviews, including scenario planning, risk analysis and discounted cash flow reporting.

• Leading projects within the RISST organization focused on operational excellence and process improvements aligned to several key areas of strategic importance.

• Supervision of accounting staff with a strong focus on mentoring, training and professional development.

Desired Skills:

• Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree concentrated in finance, economics, accounting, or related fields

• Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.

• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

• Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

• The primary location for this position is Peoria, IL, but can also be located in our Tucson, AZ office

Summary Pay Range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
