BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a Compass Call Prime Mission Equipment (PME) Backshop Lead for the EC-130H and EA-37B Weapon Systems. The candidate will be expected to have in-depth knowledge in Air Force maintenance methodologies that support war-fighter operations, strong leadership/management skills and report to the CLS PME Lead for day-to-day operations. The qualified candidate will lead a team of Field Service Engineers who perform component level maintenance in support of the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) mission on Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson AZ. The candidate will be responsible for all Backshop maintenance activities and training. The position will ensure accurate and detailed maintenance data collection utilizing multiple databases and inspect in-progress and completed maintenance actions. The candidate will supervise and perform periodic upgrades of PME and Support Equipment and ensure all calibrations are remain current. Most of the work required by this position will be performed in secure, closed area; thus, this individual must ensure all security requirements are maintained for the area and all who enter. The candidate will respond to requests for technical support from the USAF and other PME engineers.
Key Job responsibilities
Become an Backshop/Flightline Prime Mission Equipment (PME) expert.
Support the latest, most advanced, cutting-edge communications jammer
Prioritize Backshop daily activities
Train, evaluate, and mentor less experienced workers and inspect completed work
Maintain a safe, mishap-free workplace
Perform/ensure accurate maintenance data collection
Requisition parts necessary for component repair
Perform PME system maintenance on/off aircraft
Perform Backshop component level troubleshooting and repair
Provide Input and recommendations to technical documents
Interface with Software, Hardware, and Systems engineers to identify, report, and resolve field issues
Perform system startup/shutdown
Built-In-Test (BIT) execution and results interpretation
Perform system alignments
Perform system troubleshooting and repair
Utilize advanced test equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, Multimeter, etc)
Repair cables and remove/replace connectors (Electrical, Data, RF)
Conduct system upgrades
Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Electronics/Avionics Experience/Education
Anticipate Field Travel to be approximately 25%
Willing and Qualified to Deploy in support of Program OCONUS Requirements
Flexible work schedule based on flight operations/work requirements
Active Secret Clearance
Eligible to obtain a DoD TS/SCI security clearance, within a reasonable amount of time, determined by business need (US Citizenship required)
Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with Compass Call Weapon System and able to become proficient in future Baseline operations
Strong organizational and intermediate abilities in the following:
EW, RF and/or, Electronics
Electrical troubleshooting
Maintenance and fault isolation
Cable/Connector Repair
Proficient in the operation of Test equipment (Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, FieldFoxes, Spectrum Analyzers, and Oscilloscopes)
COMSEC/Cryptographic experience (SKL, KG175, KG250)
Networking Equipment (Routers, Switches, & Modems)
A /Network experience or certification
Security Certification
Satellite Communications (SATCOM) (Ku/Ka Band, ViaSat, etc.)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $102200 - $173700
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
