Job Description

Has mastery in more of the HSE technologies that provide support on HSE matters for BU Engineering and R&D innovation projects and initiatives, provides expert support to site HSE issues and problems, and supports HSE governance tasks. Has advanced mastery in at least 1 HSE technology. Site HSE responsible for leading and implementing the HSE program across the site. Includes Plant HS&E leaders.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Relevant certifications (OSHA) preferred.

  • Preferably 3 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management.

  • Proven track record in leading HSE programs and initiatives at the site level.

  • Comprehensive understanding of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams in HSE initiatives and programs.

  • Experience in mentoring and developing Plant HS&E leaders and staff.

  • Strong analytical skills to identify, assess, and mitigate HSE risks and issues.

  • Experience in providing expert support to resolve complex site HSE problems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with diverse stakeholders, including site personnel and management.

  • Ability to present HSE data and insights to non-technical audiences.

  • Experience in supporting HSE governance tasks, including audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.

  • Familiarity with HSE management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Openness to adopting new technologies and methodologies that enhance HSE performance.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments to foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership development within the HSE context.

  • Strong commitment to promoting a proactive safety culture.

  • Ability to adapt to changing regulations and industry trends.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
