As an Advanced Quality Engineer , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Providing quality and product assurance and control support for personal protective equipment and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulated medical device products
Driving continuous quality improvement using engineering best practice, statistical techniques, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Leading investigations and corrective action responses, trending and monitoring for nonconforming materials, complaints, and supplier issues.
Assuring compliance to external regulations, customer requirements and industry standards such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001, 80079 and 13485, National Institute for Safety and Health (NIOSH), Canadian Standards Association (CSA), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), etc.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
Six (6) months experience in one or more of the following areas: Project Engineering, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Product Development, Quality, and/or Environmental, Health and Safety-EHS (private, public, government or military)
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline from an accredited institution
Two years of combined work experience in a Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development and/or Laboratory role (private, public, government or military)
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
Broad understanding and application of statistics and risk assessment tools
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized.
Work Location: Valley, NE.
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
