We are immediately hiring full-time, experienced Machinists at our Valley View and Stow Works, OH sites. This is such a critical role that we are proud to offer a $500 sign-on bonus and a $500 bonus after 90-days for this position! Machinists must possess solid communication skills and should be detailed oriented as well as possess good organizational skills.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
Set up and operate a wide range of both CNC and manual machine tools, such as grinders, mills, lathes, and hones on a diverse range of product involving difficult operations, aerospace tolerances, and complex shapes. Machines used at Valley View include HAAS vertical mills, Toyoda Grinders, Accuturn, Prodigy, Hardinge, and HAAS lathes.
Modify programs in response to problems.
Monitor product quality and troubleshoot to determine causes of operating errors and make decisions to solve any errors.
Monitor and troubleshoot production processes and product quality
Maintain quality metrics to facilitate positive, proactive operational change
The following are required:
High School Diploma/GED
2+ years of machining experience OR a Machining Technology certificate
Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift based on the specific site requirements
Willing and able to work overtime (including weekends, evenings, and holidays) as needed
Experience in machining composites, metals, and or aluminum extrusions
Ability to read CNC programs and the ability to set up and operate manual and CNC equipment
Proficient in shop math, including geometry and conversions
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand tolerance
Demonstrated ability to use precision gages
Knowledge of FANUC controls
Excellent problem solving/troubleshooting skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
The following are preferred:
3+ years of machining experience
CNC machinist certification
Knowledge/experience in Statistical Process Control
Please be advised that if you are hired for our Stow location, you will be required to cross-train at our Valley View, OH site traveling between the two sites during training.*
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process. This position doesn’t offer relocation assistance.
Starting wages range from $26.79 hourly pay rate. A $2.00/hr. shift premium is offered to the base pay for rotating shifts. Non-rotating shifts receive an additional $2.50/hr. between 3:00pm-7:00am.
