We are hiring a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer. The successful candidate will support the Valley View and Stow Works sites in Maintenance & Reliability and MIQA through technical expertise for all aspects of maintenance in a manufacturing environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the site maintenance and reliability strategy.

  • Develop and implement proposals, improvements, and control plans to address identified maintenance gaps.

  • Develop, maintain, and implement maintenance procedures.

  • Develop, maintain, and implement the critical spare parts strategy.

  • Identify reliability bad actors and develop and implement plans to improve reliability performance.

  • Maintain the current computer maintenance management system (CMMS) software and develop and lead the future CMMS strategy and implementation.

  • Assist maintenance mechanics with technical troubleshooting, provide technical guidance/coaching for both routine maintenance and repair activities.

  • Assist maintenance with sourcing replacement parts and perform QC for MRO and spare parts.

  • Provide coaching, training, and support to mechanics in preventative-predictive maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration, thermography, etc.).

  • Provide reliability coaching and support to area production personnel related to practices impacting general/overall machine health.

  • Justify, lead, and execute capital projects.

  • Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process and Pre-Safety Start-up Reviews (PSSR).

  • Promote machine safety, maintenance safety, and safe work practices.

  • Lead and implement the site S1M machine safety guarding initiatives.

  • Apply engineering theory, practices, and principles to perform failure analysis to determine root cause of equipment failures and conduct equipment performance evaluations.

  • Lead the site PSM MIQA (Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance) program, maintain the site MIQA manual.

  • Actively participate in Reliability & Maintenance and MIQA networks, share best practices, successes, and failures. Leverage network learnings to improve Reliability and MIQA practices.

  • Produce technical documentation and presentations.

  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and maintenance mechanics.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical discipline

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.

  • Knowledge of machine controls, automation, CNC machinery, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  • Familiarity of industry and corporate standards and of industry best practices.

  • Ability to interpret technical schematics and drawings.

  • Ability to utilize CMMS software, CAD software (Solid works preferred), and Excel.

  • Ability to collect, analyze, interpret data, and act based on data.

  • Systematic decision making, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Knowledge of preventative-predictive maintenance programs (lubrication, vibration, thermography, etc.)

  • Ability to effectively self-manage, plan, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent projects/initiatives.

  • Ability to build, lead, and work as a team member in a respectful manner in a diverse work environment.

  • Project Management, leadership, planning and organization experience.

  • Knowledge of industrial facility and industrial machinery electrical.

  • Knowledge of reliability tools (e.g., FMEA), and failure analysis techniques (e.g., RCFA) with ability to lead an RCFA team.

  • Proven commitment, focus, and effectiveness in advancing core values.

  • Ability to learn quickly and willing to expand their knowledge and develop skills in related fields of the competency.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively and collaborate with plant personnel (operators, production specialists, engineers, mechanics, management) at all levels.
