LSG is looking for a self-motivated individual who is eager to learn the financial industry as a Support Advisor/Paraplanner in our Valparaiso, Indiana office. The Support Advisor/Paraplanner is an entry-level position with growth potential that emphasizes collaboration with LSG advisors and the administrative team to meet the needs of our clients. The main responsibilities will include data gathering, analysis, communicating with team members and clients, and assisting advisors with meeting preparation and follow-up. The successful candidate will have a strategic approach in their analysis and will act as a problem solver with a “can-do” attitude.
Compensation will be market and situation-based, corresponding to the experience level and credentials of the candidate. The package will include a competitive salary, annual bonus opportunity, and participation in a 401(k) plan.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field of study (finance, business, etc.)
Be willing and able to obtain state insurance licenses (life, health and variable contracts) and Series 7 and 66, or; Series 7, 65, and 63 within 120 days of employment.
Must be willing to complete appropriate training as required by LSG, Thrivent, and/or state laws.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Ability to meet deadlines and be very detail oriented
Very organized with the ability to switch from one project to another
Excellent with problem solving and communicating
Ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment
Work well in a team-oriented environment
Demonstrate an ability to develop and cultivate relationships
Accept feedback and constructive criticism well
Pass any applicable pre-employment tests
Be able to demonstrate customer service orientation/experience obtained in any field
As part of The Lakeshore Group recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process.
