Primary Function
This position is responsible for the development and management of supplier relationships that provide the best cost, quality, and delivery of commodities that, in turn, contribute to the growth of the Corporation.
Responsibilities
Load planning parameters for new purchase parts. Analyze planner messages.
Create and release purchase orders and approve invoices from suppliers. .
Confirm timely and complete receipts according to production requirements.
Measure supplier performance in delivery and quality. Achieve inventory and turns results.
Plan, coordinate, and communicate blanket/purchase order releases to support production requirements.
Establish input into the system for ordering and invoice payment.
Maintain inventory levels to meet inventory turns goals.
Measure and monitor supplier performance in areas of on time delivery, cost of poor quality, lead-time, and purchase price variance.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action when suppliers are non-compliant in any area.
Conduct legal and ethical business relationships with suppliers.
Benchmark leading supply chain practitioners and develop world class practices.
Build alliances across departments and c ontinue to develop and/or improve skills vital for business growth.
Anticipate and adapt to change.
Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Finance
Related experience can be substituted for a Bachelors degree
1+ year related work experience
Ability to communicate effectively and proven track record of team participation success
Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Education
