Primary Function
The 2nd shift Coating System Operator sets up and operates mixing area, spraying applications, and glass system furnace equipment per set company policies and guidelines
We Offer
Regularly Scheduled Hours: 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday - 3:30pm – 2:00am
Hourly Rate of Pay: $25.89/hour ($24.89/hour base plus $1/hour shift premium = $25.89)
Sign On Bonus: $1500 ($500 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months, $500 after 12 months - must not be on a corrective action for attendance)

Responsibilities
Responsible for the set-up and operation of mixing equipment for glass material.
Responsible for mixing glass frit to set company standards.
Sets-up and operates manual spray or automated glass spray or slush coat equipment.
Set-up and operation of pre-dry oven and glass furnace equipment including PLC controls on furnaces.
Monitors and adjusts process equipment or material mixtures to insure quality parts are produced in accordance with product requirements and specifications.
Loads and unloads parts and materials necessary for glass coating operations.
Reads and interprets production schedules and related technical data to manufacturing requirements are followed.
Starts processing equipment for mixing, spraying, and curing as well as monitoring digital displays and coating to detect any malfunctions.
Performs minor or operational maintenance and preventive maintenance on a daily basis including cleaning equipment and the surrounding area.
Brushes or cleans excess pre-dried glass material in designated areas before firing process.
Responsible for the proper containment and identification (labeling) of residue or other recyclable materials; insures materials are properly stored in designated areas.
Operates forklift, cranes, hoist and other lifting devices.
Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with three to six months related experience and/or training in spraying / coating applications; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work with and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Technical school training in automation or related subjects helpful.
Good communication skills
Must pass background check and drug screen
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with help.
