What Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health

Account Managementisresponsibleformanaging the success of the relationship with an assigned set of customers to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health. Responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving customer pain points and, for facilitating, developing,designing,and implementing processes that improve overall customer experience. Act as customer advocate and liaison back into Cardinal Health organizationwith teams such asSales, Customer Service, Inventory, Pricing, Operations, Credit & Collections.


  • Oversee assigned Medical Products and Distribution customer(s) as it pertains to supply chain health and general service needs
  • Bridge relationships between the customer and internal Cardinal Health teams to ensure flawless service
  • Manage customer expectations and requirements through proactive account review, facilitating issue resolution, and keeping customer informed of key initiatives
  • Prevent order disruption to customer through activities such as: elimination of potential inventory issues, substitution maintenance, core list review, and product standardization and conversions

  • Track, measure, and report key performance indicators monthly

  • Build and maintain long-term trusted relationships withcustomerto support retention and growth of the account


  • Bachelor’s degreeorequivalentworkexperience,preferred

  • 4-6years professional experience;direct customerfacing experiencepreferred

  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint,Wordand Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Highly motivated, creative, able to operate effectively withina team

  • Ability to travel, up to 20-25%of the time

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects
  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives
  • May act as a mentor to less experienced colleagues

Anticipated salary range: $61,300 - $93,000
