The Long Hole Driller is part of the Mine Operations team. He/she ensures drilling of production holes and operates the ITH drill for slot-raise.
Description
Supply equipment and storage underground
Maintain shelters, equipment racks and fuel racks
Operate machinery, such as mast trucks, Jeeps, tractors and wheel loaders
Respect, know and promote company regulations and policies, particularly with regard to health and safety
All other related tasks
Requirements
Hold a DEP (diploma of vocational education) in ore extraction
Have five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience on various long hole drills
Experience with ITH
Have the mine worker modular training card
Hold a general explosives permit
Have a valid driver's licence
Bilingual (an advantage)
Working Conditions
Schedule: 14 days of work followed by 14 days off
