Assay Lab Technician
Purpose
Newmont is seeking an Assay Lab Technician with experience in manufacturing and production. If you have a desire for a challenging career with growth opportunities come join Newmont’s Assay Lab team. No experience required. We will train you!
Essential Duties
Follow established laboratory and communication procedures.
Perform sample preparation and data handling.
Understand the laboratory work environment and hazard awareness.
Perform general housekeeping and stocking duties.
Demonstrate safety leadership and safety consciousness.
Provide effective customer service.
Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation through honest and open communication.
Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations, company policies and procedures, and the company’s environmental policies.

Training & Experience
Previous laboratory experience is preferred.
Ability to stand for 10-12 hours per day.
Basic computer knowledge with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products and any further job required programs.
Basic Mathematical skills.
Will hire entry level.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work 12-hour rotating schedule.

The salary range offered for this role is $. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
