Based out of our Ashland City, TN office, this role is eligible to participate in our hybrid work program, which allows employees to work remotely up to two days per week. New employees in eligible roles can apply for this program after successfully completing their initial 90 days of employment.
Primary Function
This role will be responsible for the strategy development and market activation for our ENERGY STAR residential and commercial water heaters. This role will engage a broad range of cross functional employees to ensure that the organization is aligned around the latest developments in this segment. Responsibilities
Implement instant rebate programs through wholesale and retail channels
Convince Utilities, Government agencies and Implementers to redeploy funds into the most effective rebate programs
Present program best practices at industry events (I.e: ENERGY STAR Product Partner Meeting)
Lead the effort for A. O. Smith to be recognized every year by the EPA for sustained excellence in Energy Efficiency
Represent AOS at the ENERGY STAR Manufacturer Action Council [ESMAC], led by the EPA and participate in Contractor orientation trainings
Effectively monitor program funding and the AOS share of program performance for each incentive program
Hold key role in our government and industry relations council
Develop supporting collateral material for Rep Agencies, Distributors, Contractors and Store Associates
Collaborate with creative agencies (internal/external) to develop targeted marketing campaigns to promote the market incentives
Leverage opportunities where co-marketing funds are available (may include co-branding and direct mail, email and social media placements among others)
Perform statistical analysis that evaluates targeted market potential (high propensity to purchase) within a State or a utility service area
Conduct local training sessions targeted at wholesale and retail representative organizations, distributors, contractors and consumers on the advantages of energy efficient technologies and the existence of market incentives
Collaborate with internal training team to leverage digital training assets
Provide insight on possible enhancements to existing products as well as concepts for new product development to further reach key customers within segment
Look for opportunities to promote grid enabled water heaters. Relay the program opportunities to our Product management team to facilitate grid integration with the Utilities.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Marketing
5+ years related work experience
Experience of Midstream program design and field implementation at a Utility, program implementation firm or Federal/State government agency is preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
MBA Preferred but not required
Experience with developing and implementing digital marketing efforts
Detail-oriented
Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks
Quick learner – ability to gain product and channel knowledge for multiple brands
Must be resourceful, team-oriented and have strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills – ability to engage all levels of the organization
Professional presentation skills
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Marketing
Years of Experience
Minimum of 5 years related work experience
