Reporting to the Vice President of Finance & Strategy, the Analyst – Finance & Strategy will work to support the company’s ongoing financial and business strategy Specific day-to-day activities will involve financial analysis and model development, valuation analysis, industry research, and the preparation of various presentations and documents for high-level decision making. This multi-faceted role offers exposure across multiple functions, including but not limited to FP&A and Strategy. As such, the ability to clearly and concisely present key findings and proposals to senior leaders will be a key requirement for the role. This position provides exposure across the corporation and will serve as a great opportunity for future growth opportunities within the enterprise.

While headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA the company is flexible as it relates to role location.

Other key priorities for the role include:

  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to develop robust business cases for strategic initiatives to provide analytical support and insights to functional business partners to drive informed decision-making.

  • Assist in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting processes as needed.

  • Work closely with the transition team to facilitate the seamless integration of recently announced mergers and acquisitions.

  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure alignment with integration objectives and timelines.

  • Provide strategic support to corporate, business units and/or functional groups regarding potential new capital projects, mergers / acquisitions, markets, products and technologies.

  • Support the Vice President of Finance & Strategy in all aspects, including coordinating scheduling, communications, strategic initiatives and various deliverables to optimize department performance and operations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, economics or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience with FP&A or other data/analysis intense field preferred.

  • Well-developed financial modelling, forecasting, and/or analytical skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and financial software applications.

  • Self starter with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and result-driven action-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to collaborate and work independently in fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is a strong plus.

  • Experience with Oracle ERT and/or OneStream is a plus.

Candidate Profile

Candidates for the role will have a minimum of 1- year of experience in strategically oriented and relevant roles from within the manufacturing sector and/or investment banking, consulting, valuation, or corporate development professions. S/he will be forward-thinking in mentality, successfully anticipating market trends with a track record of translating strategic insights into short- and long-term enterprise impacts. S/he will have strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to perform complex qualitative and quantitative analysis.

In terms of personal attributes and characteristics, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter, hands-on and collaborative in achieving results, capable of distilling, packaging and presenting complex information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner. S/he must be both process and goal-oriented while comfortable in managing with complexity and ambiguity. The successful candidate will be committed to working collaboratively with key leaders to shape the priorities and growth opportunities for the business. S/he will possess exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, be a good cultural fit within the organization, and demonstrate a high energy level, decisiveness, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
