Job Location: Hershey, PA Hershey, PA Preferred. Open to Remote. * Summary:* The Shopper Solutions & Activations Manager, C-Store/Small Format , is a pivotal member of the HSY Sales team with important responsibilities spanning strategic planning, sales enablement, and portfolio merchandising solutions impacting the sales, share, and P&L performance. This role is also a manager role, leading the 1A C-Store Shopper Solutions Merchandising Associate through performance and career planning aspects. * Key Responsibilities Include: * • To own and drive high-level continuous improvement initiatives across Merchandising and Portfolio functions to reduce cost, increase retail performance, and drive speed-to-market. This includes work such as finding process efficiencies and eliminating unnecessary workstreams and creating and sharing high-impact BDPs to enhance retail sales and experience • Identify, develop, and manage customer- and channel-specific product solutions that drive incremental distribution and share of shelf for key strategic retailers. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Omni-Marketing, Shopper/Human Insights, Category Management, Operations, Packaging, Finance, R&D, and Retail Sales as well as external vendors and agencies to create these solutions • Own the P&L development and optimization to ensure delivery of HSY metrics across the creation and management of product solutions for assigned customers including business case development and Accolade management. Specific focus on core packs, strategic brands and anchor events. • Remain connected to the customer teams (internally and externally) to stay informed on the retail environment and actively participate in key customer appointments as needed to understand customer needs or present product solutions while advocating channel solutions • Develop strong connectivity with the C-Store Customer Sales Team to deliver profitable growth and to efficiently utilize assigned resources • Lead project and process management and/or Sales representation for both C-store and enterprise-wide; Actively manage customer-specific product portfolio to continually drive sales and profit performance. Proactively evaluate items as needed for rationalization • Own the sales enablement responsibilities for the C-Store channel including but not limited to the creation and management of the channels largest Retailer and Distributor Programs (AMP/DPP) through implementation through execution, championing needs for channel strategies across core, innovation, and competitive landscape • Lead and represent Sales team on shopper solutions related, ad hoc projects such as Retail Ready Packaging, Waste Initiatives, Allocations, Merchandising Transformation, Shopper Insights, etc as needed • Support 3-year JBP customer planning with strategic project and P&L support • Leverage business data such as syndicated and shopper data collaborative with customer teams to identify product opportunities and make fact-based strategic recommendations, as well as stay up to date on trends, forward-looking forecasts, and consumer needs • Own and manage relationship with external data partners for the channel as needed * Qualifications:* * Education:* Bachelor’s degree required. * Experience:* 5+ years’ experience in Sales, Category Management, Finance and/or Marketing; Project Management experience recommended #LI-AM1 #LI-Remote The Hershey Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
