Job Description

Are you looking to make an impact and be part of building world-class company wide observability platform? We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our Intelligent Operations team of Procter & Gamble in Warsaw. The person will work as part of a well-established team that will include software engineers, support officers, project managers and a product owner to develop and maintain Procter & Gamble's internal observability platform, which will provide critical insights into the performance and health of applications and infrastructure at enterprise scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging Agile and DevOps practices to drive a continuous improvement of observability platform, related systems and processes

  • Managing and deploying infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

  • Managing and continuously improving CICD configuration (Github + Azure DevOps) to enable fast, reliable and secure code deployments.

  • Driving platform scalability, resiliency, reliability and cost effectiveness via close collaboration with cross-functional team and implementing improvements in code and architecture.

  • Designing, implementing and deploying new platform capabilities (either directly or via internal and external partners)

  • Providing technical leadership and technical coaching to extended te

  • Participating in cross-functional teams and initiatives to adopt our observability platform for various internal clients and ensure observability is integrated throughout their software development lifecycle.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering or any relevant technical industry

  • Proficiciency in one or more general-purpose programming languages (e.g. Python, Go)

  • Ability to debug the code and automate routine tasks

  • Working knowledge of Cloud infrastructure

  • Working knowledge of application containerization and containers orchestration (Kubernetes)

  • Working knowledge of networking (load balancing, subnetting, firewalls, proxies, TCP/IP stack)

  • Ability to work as a team member and collaborate with cross functional teams, good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

  • Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the observability space.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in Monitoring and Observability space (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Mimir, Vector and others)

  • Kubernetes and AKS certification

  • Azure certification

  • Terraform experience
