Primary Function
The Financial Analyst/Sr. Analyst is responsible for budgeting, reporting, and analysis of the Retail business segments while also providing financial support to the A. O. Smith New Product Development process. Responsibilities also entail providing reporting/KPI assistance to the manufacturing locations as needed.
Responsibilities
Budget, report, and analyze Retail SBU financial results
Provide high-level walk-forwards to assist leadership in understanding major changes affecting the Retail SBU financials
Support plants with individual budgeting and rhythmic reporting (plan templates, plan pre-views, KPIs, etc), understand plant labor and overhead variances while providing high level review comments and provide analysis for inventory.
Assist in completing, reviewing and presenting Retail-based quarterly pricing index files
Assist in coordination of various performance excellence projects within the Finance area.
Support the A. O. Smith New Product Development process by providing financial analyses (P and L impact, balance sheet impact, cash flow, PAR index, payback, other as needed) for specific projects
Perform other activities as needed or as directed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
Minimum of 3-5 years of financial experience or exposure to accounting systems
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Adept at report model development and being able to interpret and summarize data.
Working knowledge of financial and accounting systems – SAP BI/BPC experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and high organization skills
Education
Baccalaureate in Finance or Related Field
