The Senior Marketing Operations Specialist is the marketing automation technician responsible for supporting the Global Marketing team with the end-to-end management of all email marketing campaigns. They oversee the effective use of Salesforce and Pardot to implement comprehensive marketing campaigns and ensure seamless execution in collaboration with key stakeholders while providing email expertise and guidance on best practices.
The individual also performs critical related duties such as lead management support, managing marketing data collection, segmentation, list pulls, data hygiene and enhancements, and data imports into MAP and Salesforce. The Marketing Operations Specialist supports and manages the business processes and SLAs required to execute world-class, high-quality, measurable MAP programs and supports the adoption, training, and management of new marketing technologies as they are added.
Key Accountabilities
Own the end-to-end management of all email marketing campaigns
Collaborate with campaign owners and marketing team to develop, execute and manage marketing automation programs
Leverage MAP functionality to automate and streamline processes
Manage opt-out requests, bounce-backs, “do not emails” and contact preferences updates.
Project Management
- Utilize Asana to collaborate with Global Marketing to ensure alignment on marketing automation processes and objectives.
Data enhancement & maintenance
Provide hands-on data management including segmenting and cleansing of the marketing database.
Provide data enhancement services including contact completion, correction and remapping as needed to continuously improve data integrity.
Segment and manage contact lists and databases for targeted marketing activities.
Develop platform marketing assets, such as landing pages and email templates, and put into production in MAP.
Manage data import processes and templates, including gathering and preparing files and developing templates for easy upload.
Lead management
- Implement the needed lead routing rules within the MAP to ensure appropriate routing is taking place
Technology admin and support
- Pardot, Salesforce, Smartsheet, Highspot, SharePoint, content creation/workflow platform
Skills:
Campaign execution, lead scoring and lead nurturing programs in marketing automation systems
Proficient with advanced data functions in Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
Able to collaborate with team members and other stakeholders at all levels
Analytical/naturally curious and detail-oriented
Committed to continuous improvement
Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
Flexibility to easily adapt and change course in a fast-moving environment.
Articulate written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and Experience:
5 years of marketing operations experience with marketing automation and CRM
Hands-on experience with project management tools, preferably Asana
Database health and hygiene analysis
Marketing funnel and lead management
Sales enablement and content management platforms
Data Privacy compliance and practices
Basic HTML knowledge required
Education:
- BA or BS in Marketing or Business desired
