Cigna Strategic Sourcing Senior Specialist in United States
Ensures contracts with suppliers and vendors are consistent with corporate objectives. Participates in contract negotiations with suppliers to secure consistent supplies, services and competitive prices. Drives and reviews numerous key purchases to ensure quality, risk and timeliness of the supply chain. Understanding of business law, legal contracts and various financial issues including cash flow and working capital. Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance or related area with five to seven years of progressive sourcing experience.
-Supports strategic sourcing activities for Marketing & Communications, Print & Distribution or related services.
-Develop sourcing strategies and category plans for assigned categories that include market spend, strategic importance, geographic considerations, etc.
-Initiate and drive the sourcing process across the organization, managing multiple stakeholders and business customers. Lead the end to end sourcing process from market analysis to RFP, contract and pricing negotiations through business terms and contract execution.
-Proactively identify, through analysis and business unit partnerships, develop and execute on sourcing opportunities driving cost savings, cost avoidance, diversity spend, risk reduction, enhanced business outcomes and improved service levels.
-Lead/Work with cross-functional teams to understand enterprise/company-wide category needs and evaluate best in class suppliers.
-Work in conjunction with the External Entity Management team to create and manage mutually beneficial long term partnerships with suppliers fostering feedback and continuous improvement opportunities while driving to consolidate the existing supplier base.
-Support continuous improvement activities in all aspects of the sourcing and procurement process.
-Maintain and promote sound relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and the business community.
- Provide input to new processes as they are rolled out in the supply chain team (processes, technology, people, etc.).
- Stay up-to-date on assigned categories by reading outside materials (i.e. published category reports, industry magazines, supplier provided information, etc.).
Working in collaboration with appropriate functional stakeholders for the Cigna Enterprise and other strategic sourcing team members, the sourcing categories under the scope of this position may include but are not limited to:
