Fresenius Medical Care North America Sr. Payroll Knowledge Specialist in Waltham, Massachusetts
PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Primary responsibility is to provide expertise in payroll-related activities. Stays abreast of federal, state, and local legislative and regulatory changes and effectively communicates those to the payroll professionals in educational settings. Responsible for the development of training materials, handouts, and training plans for the payroll department and businesses withing FMCNA.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain relationships through effective and timely communication with internal and external customers.
Maintain and update all payroll related materials within the payroll department and electronically for end users.
Lead training initiatives for new Payroll employees on payroll applications and ensure compliance with FMCNA Payroll Standard Operating Policies and Procedures (SOPPs). Develop and update all internal SOPP’s for the department.
Design and facilitate training programs for managers and leaders to ensure compliance and awareness of payroll processes.
Proactively address problems and display a high degree of accuracy in all tasks.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS :
- Bachelors Degreeor an equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
A minimum of 7 years’ experience in payroll or accounting is required.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Previous experience with Workday Payroll System and Kronos is preferred.
Basic knowledge of Wage and Hour Laws is desired.
