Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence & Security designs and delivers advanced defense, intelligence, and security solutions that support the important missions of our customers. BAE Systems has an immediate need for a highly qualified Senior System Security Engineer (Weapons System Integrator) to support U.S Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Office and the Trident II D5 Strategic Weapon System (SWS) programs.
Key roles and technical responsibilities include:
Provide consultation and programmatic support related to overall System Security Engineering (SSE) (Criticality, Trust & Assurance, Cybersecurity, Supply Chain Security and Asymmetrical Threat Vulnerability Management) for D5LE, D5LE2, CPS, NWS and W93/Mk7 Programs.
Provide consultation and expertise to the program manager and team leads on program management best practices related to the support of SSP and the SWS Programs in order to provide an effective and efficient communication between BAE Systems and the customer. Areas of programmatic consultation include but are not limited to effective uses of an IMS, Program Reviews and Sponsor interfaces, Action Item Prioritization and Tracking, and Risk and Opportunity Management.
Provide support to the program manager by preparation of materials and information necessary for effective weekly and monthly BAE Systems work performer reviews with SSP. These reports shall include key points communicating the overall messaging, prepared metrics for SSE accomplishments, key risks and issues along with proposed mitigations, programmatic schedules, and assigned action item status.
Provide support to the team in the effective creation and tracking of POA&Ms required for successful execution of SSE tasks and task priorities. Support the communication of priorities, key milestones and milestone risks across the work performers, program manager, and customer.
Provide Support to the team in the effective creation and tracking of action items to ensure required actions are properly documented, prioritized, communicated, addressed and tracked through closure.
Provide support to the program manager and SSP to assist in compliance with the SSE Program plan. Responsibilities include but are not limited to 1) assisting in drafting SSE Program Plan updates, 2) translation of SSE Program Plan requirements into actionable steps, and 3) Providing assistance to the team to monitor and ensure compliance with SSE Program Plan requirements.
Provide program level support for SSE Strategic Planning and special studies on SSE Policies and Processes.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum education and years of relevant/related experience required: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field (or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline) with at least 30 years of relevant/related SSP/SLBM experience.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Demonstrated knowledge in SWS operations
Demonstrated knowledge of SSP SSE policies and processes
Creation of Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for Technical Reviews
Demonstrated experience with creating technical plans and creating/contributing to technical trade studies
Knowledge and experience working in the Systems Engineering V , Lifecycle framework
Understanding Technical Processes (TPs) and Technical Management Processes (TMPs)
Familiar with the Digital Engineering Environment
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
