In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.

BAE Systems is looking for a new Test Engineer for our Integrated Test Engineering (ITE) organization. The ITE organization s mission is to reliably deliver customer-focused, affordable test solutions which are integrated across all levels of production test. Experience the entire life cycle of a program to include bid and proposal, advanced development and demonstration, test design and development, product fielding, procurement and sustainment. The selected candidate will be part of a test engineering team throughout the product lifecycle. You will motivate and inspire the engineering team across geographical boundaries to achieve more than they believe is possible!

The Test Engineer should have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, and deploying complex test systems using state of the art test solutions and commercial instrumentation for testing Military Comms, Navigation, and Electronic Warfare equipment. A strong emphasis on team cohesion, automated design tools, use of electronic measurement equipment and hardware troubleshooting skills are required.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • BS in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering

  • Familiarity with electrical design and schematic capture tools, functional test procedure development, lab equipment use and test equipment maintenance

  • Evaluating the test performance against required specifications

  • Developing board level and module level tests of analog, digital, RF, and hybrid systems using both vendor supplied and custom measurement equipment.

  • Developing comprehensive test procedures used to support testing and verification activities for system development, production, and sustainment testing activities

  • Possess a thorough understanding and experience in electronics design, test console development, ITA design and commercial test equipment use

  • Developing technical drawing packages for test station design, and operating procedures for acceptance test and environmental stress screening applications

  • In depth instrumentation knowledge

  • Cable and interconnection design and documentation

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

  • Familiar with designing and developing printed circuit board (PCB) and interface adapter assembly (ITA)

  • Experience in factory production test stands, problem isolation and resolution.

  • Experience with Boundary Scan Tool and software is preferred

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $97800 - $166320

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
