The Role
The Iron Technician I provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components.
Pay Starts at $20.30. Can be adjusted with Experience.
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Mon-Fri. Overtime may be available.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assists Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase
Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Ability to identify SPM and Customer product
Ability to assemble flow control product
Nondestructive Testing Trainee (NDT Trainee)
Manifold tear down/rebuild trainee
Demonstrates computer skills for the SPM AMP System
Requires knowledge of SPM products and customer standards
Inventory Incoming Iron
Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area
Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met
Performs other routine duties as assigned
Basic Requirements:
- One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
Noise Level: Moderate
