Job Purpose and Impact

As the Finance Technology Leader, you will be a key leader responsible for shaping the strategic direction, management, and successful delivery of our non-ERP finance technology initiatives. In this role, you will lead and direct professionals and indirect staff for all digital technology solutions within the Finance space. This includes over 200 applications across Treasury, FP&A, Record to Report, Credit to Cash, Invoice to Pay, Travel & Expense, Tax and Customs. Responsibility also includes owning the Technology Roadmap as well as integrations and solution architecture.

Relocation assistance to Wayzata, MN is provided for this role.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Finance technology strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.

  • Steer overall business expectations, perceptions and support communications of technology strategies, priorities, and governance.

  • Partner and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to outline technology fiscal planning and be accountable for overall technology spend.

  • Drive innovation in Finance technology solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Portfolio Management:

  • Oversee the entire Non-ERP Finance technology portfolio both run and build.

  • Prioritize projects based on business impact and strategic importance.

  • Ensure the successful delivery of Finance technology projects on time and within budget.

  • Build business cases and 5-year cash flow models to support funding requests.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of 50+ FTEs and third-party contractors.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture with proven ability to lead and motivate geographically dispersed teams.

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

Vendor Management:

  • Manage relationships with Finance technology vendors to ensure optimal performance and value.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies that align with organizational goals.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure cost effectiveness and KPIs in partnership with strategic sourcing.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security standards.

  • Implement and enforce best practices for data security and confidentiality.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, preferably in information technology, finance, or related field

  • Minimum of eight years of related work experience, five years of supervisory experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of direct experience in financial system management

  • In-depth knowledge of the application development life cycle and Agile application development

  • Experience in various financial systems

  • Proven leadership experience managing large teams

  • Strong strategic thinking and critical problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
