Join our Trebor team as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer and take the lead in ensuring the highest level of quality across our supplier network. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead efforts to identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers while nurturing existing relationships
Collaborate with suppliers to enhance their quality management systems and drive continuous improvement
Foster strong partnerships with supplier, engaging in effective communication, negotiation, and collaboration to achieve mutual goals
Mitigate supply chain risks by assessing supplier capabilities, vulnerabilities, and potential impacts on product quality and delivery times
Analyze supplier processes, identify areas for optimization and implement strategies to enhance efficiency
Lead BU customer RMA items from receipt to closure, using the Quality staff support as required.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing to ensure seamless communication and alignment on quality goals and initiatives.
Tackle complex quality issues, employing advanced analytical techniques and root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and implement effective correction actions
Utilize data-driven insights to track key performance indicators, monitor trends, and generate reports to guide decision making and strategic planning
Participate and lead Material Review Board (MRB) process to determine disposition decisions on non-conforming parts.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quality engineers, contributing to their professional growth and development
Effectively produce written documents such as technical reports or procedures/ work instructions that can be utilized to create standard work
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, fostering innovation and best practices
Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Duties:
Work with management to execute projects that improve the QMS (Quality Management System)
Able to dimensionally inspect and qualify new product parts or parts from new suppliers to ensure they meet quality requirements (First Article Inspection, FAI).
Manage, maintain, and track calibration of quality tools used throughout the business.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or scientific field required.
A minimum of 6-10 years experience is required
Experience in supplier management and manufacturing processes
Six Sigma Black Belt highly desired.
Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
Leadership and project management skills are a must
Experience managing and resolving quality issues with international customers.
Experience with Infor Visual or JDE ERP a plus
