THE OPPORTUNITY

This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.

As the Equipment Engineer , you will develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; is also responsible for the activities related to installation and validation of equipment as well as the lifecycle management of equipment’s.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining effectiveness of the quality system by ensuring quality/compliance of equipment & tooling (including engineering, maintenance, machine shop and calibration areas).

  • Supervise and coordinate contracted services to adhere with GMP and plant’s procedures and requirements.

  • Creates short to mid‐range plans to carry out objectives established by management. Recommends or modifies the structure of the team subject to approval of management.

  • Supervise operation, maintenance, machine shop, calibration, repairs and overhaul to the related plant equipment.

  • Be responsible for overall equipment performance & maintain equipment downtime to an acceptable level; support and lead equipment upgrades/new installations. Recommend and implement changes in equipment operating procedures, design or configurations that improve cost performance, operational performance, efficiency, and reliability, while remaining within

  • OEM warranty specifications.

  • Maintain and administrate preventive maintenance, corrective, predictive, and calibration program for plant equipment,including the implementation of critical equipment and ready for install assets to optimize equipment changes and reduce downtime.

  • ·Assure adequate spare parts, tools, and other items needed to perform the maintenance, calibration and MAXIMO system work duties.

  • Maintain and administrate the MAXIMO/CMMS system.

  • Assist/support other functions as needed; proactively seek ways to increase productivity (i.e., leading the identification and implementation.

  • Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.

  • Ability to travel approximately 5% if need.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • 2-5 years related work experience.

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Ability to leverage and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communications with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

  • Multitasks, prioritizes, and meets deadlines in a timely manner.

  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

  • Ability to travel approximately 20%.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Production ramp-up experience.

  • Experience designing and testing medical devices preferred.

  • Experience developing manufacturing processes and technologies and designing for manufacturability preferred.

  • Experience in data Integrity projects.

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
