The Opportunity
This position works out of our Westfield, IN location in the Structural Heart division. Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease.
As the Lead Quality Control Inspector, you’ll provide day-to-day management of the audit group. Strive to reach the group's goals by coordinating resources. Work with the supervisor on group related issues, developing and implementing plans.
2nd Shift Schedule Monday- Friday 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
What You’ll Work On
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Prioritize the groups daily work by taking into account production & inspection issues, group goals and standard operating procedures (i.e. FIFO, Kanbans).
Assist group members in problem solving, trouble shooting and the handling of unique situations.
Interface with other areas to communicate audit status, work priorities and provide guidance on how to handle situations.
Ownership of department metrics and output, including task delegation and daily reporting
Monitor group performance metrics and work with the supervisor to develop and take corrective action(s).
Coordinate the documentation of training, provide input to group member performance appraisals and assist in the employee selection process.
Coach, train, motivate and enhance the morale and self-esteem of group personnel.
Provide, or work with the supervisor on, recognition for group members.
Ensure all group members follow the appropriate policies and procedures Understand all operations and support systems including inventory, traceability and documentation systems.
Key contact person for internal audits of the area.
When supervisor is absent, may temporarily act as supervisor.
Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity.
Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones.
Establishes priorities of project assignments.
Soves complex problems requiring extensive interpretation of procedures and practices to provide leadership in evolving projects.
Selects methods and practices to solve problems using ingenuity, creativity, and a high degree of independent action and initiative.
Proposes solutions independently; makes decisions on projects.
Develops and implements projects from concept to completion.
Applies extensive knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices and a complete understanding of fundamentals in a functional area,and working knowledge of other related disciplines.
Utilizes/interprets advanced data to present documentation and analysis and resolve complex problems. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
May design, develop, or modify area-specific processes or procedures.
Assignments require considerable judgment, high degree of initiative, creative approaches in troubleshooting, and making recommendations for continuous quality improvement of work methods for functional area.
Required Qualifications
Highschool Diploma/GED
Minimum of 6 years related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year degree or some college credits

The base pay for this position is $18.65 – $37.35 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
