At Fluid Management, Inc., (a Unit of IDEX Corporation) we are the leading global manufacturer of precision dispensing equipment for the architectural paint and coatings industry. We have a manufacturing facility in the northern suburbs of Chicago (Wheeling, IL). Our team has a history of success and long tenure.

Role:

Technical Support Representative will provide superior response and technical support to our customers and service partners. The Technical Support Representative (TSR) is responsible for the overall quality and success of the Customer Experience.

Job Duties:

  • Daily interaction with Fluid Management customers and field technicians in the area of technical assistance and product uptime via phone, email, and/or other communication from customers with inquiries

  • Identifies, investigates, guides and troubleshoots customer problems with computer hardware, software and verbal instructions to determine resolution.

  • Work closely with cross functional teams as needed to resolve customer issues

  • Creates documentation logs and conducts follow up with customers and field technicians where necessary.

  • Develops and process service repair quotes within proper guidelines.

  • Participates in the daily, weekly or monthly reporting of problems, issues or concerns regarding Fluid Management products.

  • Works to ensure that proper procedures and policies are in place to support Fluid Management customers.

  • A proven record of accomplishment by meeting time bound objectives.

  • Maintains knowledge of technology and trends

Qualifications:

  • 5 years+ technical troubleshooting and resolving experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronics, computer hardware/software, and customer service

  • Requires exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate must have the ability to independently gather information and apply knowledge to arrive at efficient solutions for our customers

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Understand flow charts and electronic block diagrams

  • Positive “can do” attitude

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Skillful with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software

  • Solid time management and exemplary organizational/multi-tasking skills

  • Display outstanding self-initiative requiring minimal supervision

  • Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish

Physical and other Qualifications:

  • Flexible schedules including and weekend support

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times

  • May require considerable agility, bending, and stretching
