Job Description

  1. Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  2. Manufacturing Best Practices and Standards: best practices and standards for improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the design, production, and distribution of manufacturing products; ability to create and implement best practices and standards for various manufacturing processes and activities.

  3. Manufacturing Process Design and Development: develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs

  4. Change Control - MFG: the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.

  5. Lean Manufacturing: the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

  6. Project Management: an effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives

  7. APQP, M&E, Tooling, layout development, SWES in NPI

  8. Continued improvement for PQVC on the existing production process, Engineering tech management and trouble-shooting, lead the RCCA for complex issue.

  9. Providing technical expertise and guidance in major manufacturing projects, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.

  10. Communicating with suppliers to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing designs or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product.

  11. Providing guidance to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

1.This position requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts, heat treat operations, etc., gained through acquisition of an appropriate technical or university degree combined with a minimum of 2 year of appropriate manufacturing experience or a minimum of 2 years as a Manufacturing Engineer 2, or appropriate equivalent experience.

  1. Most possess appropriate language and communication skills.
