Job Description
BAE Systems is seeking an Independent Cost Evaluator (ICE), a specialty within Finance that works closely with Program Management and Program Finance to analyze data for programs and communicates the findings to senior leadership.
You are responsible for providing independent cost evaluation support (ICD) in support of multiple business areas with the P&S Sector.
You will work closely with proposal and program teams throughout the sector.
You will look at the big picture and come up with financial estimates that will capture program risks.
Responsibilities:
Create and communicate cost-based risk evaluations related to schedule, technical, contractual, finance positions.
Work with bid capture leads and senior management to ensure these factors are understood and considered in pricing and execution strategies.
Perform independent cost evaluation of bids / new business ventures and contracts using Excel and other data analysis tools.
Provide findings to program team, reconcile and present to management for their assessment of potential booking risks and opportunities.
Maintain and calibrate to historical ICE track record.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree plus 6 years relevant experience or equivalent education/experience in lieu of a degree.
Strong analytical skills in understanding technical, cost and schedule requirements on proposals and programs.
Experience working on government contracts and proposals required, including knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisitions Regulations) and DFAR (Defense FAR).
Ability to exercise discretion and with strong independent judgement.
Ability to communicate positions effectively both orally and in writing with proposal teams and management.
Good planning, time management and organizational skills are necessary.
Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment with minimal oversight.
Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal customers.
Sound interpersonal skills when interfacing and coordinating with company personnel and management.
Strong IT skills necessary, using Microsoft products, and data gathering and analysis products.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $85200 - $144800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
