BAE Systems Maintenance Manager III in York, Pennsylvania

Job Description

BAE Systems is hiring a Maintenance Manager II to join our CMS team with primary oversight of manufacturing maintenance activities. As the CMS Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for multiple site performance with a focus on CMS performance.

  • This is an onsite position that will require 25% of travel on average.

  • There may be flexibility to be based out of one of the CMS locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Support various Operations teams by working in a safe, customer-focused manner; remaining highly self-motivated and customer-centric.

  • Develop and design innovative solutions to difficult problems, manage outside contractors and be on call for emergencies.

  • Mentor all maintenance associates by motivating and providing direction to help them achieve their goals and improve their personal growth.

  • Define and track success metrics that measure the performance and effectiveness of new and existing service programs.

  • Identify opportunities in projects to improve cost and schedule performance.

  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.

  • Foster good working relationships with both operations leadership and technicians to include a union workforce.

  • Prioritize maintenance to reduce downtime through effective planning and scheduling processes.

  • Think strategically to plan effective changes in the organization.

  • Excel at problem solving of both technical and non-technical process issues and lead a team of managers and supervisors through complex problem solving.

  • Oversee departmental daily activities for operations and maintenance of utilities

  • Evaluate, develop, and ensure necessary training and qualifications for operators and maintenance personnel.

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Identify PdM applications and develop implementation plans.

  • Coordinate and plan outage requirements to optimize up time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Experience in Maintenance Management

  • Experience in Program/Operations Management including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management

  • Experience in People Management

  • Experience in Manufacturing/Production environments

  • Ability to effectively partner throughout the business and maintain a customer-centric outlook

  • Ability to manage and communicate with stakeholders

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Strong interpersonal and diplomacy skills; capable of communicating summarized accomplishments in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency

  • Good computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of utility market landscape, dynamics, and regulatory requirements

  • Experience with reliability centered maintenance planning and predictive maintenance

  • Experience in construction, operations, test, and commissioning

  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Experience in manufacturing planning schedules and staffing

  • Experience in development and execution of budgets

  • Experience in cost reduction planning and execution

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $135556 - $230444

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
